North America holidays seem to go big in every department. Cities range from busy places full of flashing flights, Colonial historic towns waiting to be explored, then you have surprises such as Disney characters, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Grand Canyon filling in all the gaps.

We all know that nothing’s done by halves in the States, from every nationality of restaurant dish to cities with international pedigree. Florida’s full of fun and is super good at keeping the kids happy. Often known as The Sunshine State it truly is a magnet for families. It’s no surprise when you look at what’s on offer; Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort have their flagship theme parks in Orlando and some super thrilling water parks too. But don’t forget there are some great beaches in this part of America with th likes of Clearwater, St Pete Beach and Daytona Beach. They rank among the best sunbathing sweeps in North America, thanks to the gorgeous weather and white sandy beaches.

Bright lights and rural sights

Holidays in North America aren’t just limited to Florida. The Deep South lines up the home of country music – Nashville – and Elvis’ famous Graceland home. On the west coast, Yosemite National Park shows off the best of the USA’s natural scenery, and the wineries of California add a touch a class. Then there are the big boys – New York and Las Vegas. Here you will find so many must-visits iconic places of interest, Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Central Park.

Canada

Only making up 6% of the North American population, Canada is the second largest country by total area. Travelling by rail, air, land or sea, it’s diverse and exciting nature offers something for everyone! There is no surprise that there is more to offer than its metropolitan cities; why not travel through the magnificent mountains on the Rocky Mountaineer or visit the seaside province of Nova Scotia, full of history, fun activities and culinary delights!
